- First issue: 1992
- Schokkend Nieuws is a Dutch magazine devoted to horror, science-fiction, fantasy and cult movies.
- Started as A5 sized fanzine. The First issue was #0 from March 1992, that was a 16 pages free try out. The official #1 followed in June 1992, and was 24 pages. The frequency was bimonthly.
- In 2002 with issue 54 it became a quarterly magazine. (60 pages)
- From June-July 2011 #90, it became bimonthly again.
Editor is Phil van Tongeren (one of three original founders).
